Correct installation and maintenance of pump mechanical seal

<p>&nbsp;Dismantlement of the <a href="https://www.lepu<a href="https://www.lepuseal.com/" target="_blank">seal</a>.com/" target="_blank">mechanical</a> seal</p><p>The &nbsp;dismantlement order of the mechanical seal is opposite to the installation order. Care must be taken in the process of disassembling the mechanical seal. Do not use a hand hammer or flat shovel. Do not knock the mechanical seal. Do not damage the sealing surface of the dynamic or static ring of the mechanical seal. Clean it with kerosene and then disassemble it, so as to keep the parts of the mechanical seal intact.</p><p>Maintenance of <a href="https://www.lepuseal.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">mechanical seal</a></p><p>After removing the mechanical seal, first check the pump body with the organic seal installed, and the following requirements must be met:</p><p><br></p><p>1. The maximum shaft bending degree is ≤0.05mm, and the axial movement is ≤0.05mm;</p><p>2. The runout at the sealing ring of the moving ring ≤0.01mm;</p><p>3. The surface roughness of the shaft or bushing where the mechanical seal is installed is 1.6 μm, and the surface roughness in contact with the static ring sealing surface is 3.2 μm;</p><p>4. Then overhaul the <a href="https://www.lepuseal.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">mechanical</a> seal:</p><p>(1) Check the components of the mechanical seal. All components must be complete and non-destructive, and the dynamic and static ring sealing surfaces must be free of scratches, bruises, and other defects. If damage is found, repair or replacement of the mechanical seal must be performed;</p><p>(2) Check whether the spring force of the spring becomes smaller, if it becomes smaller, the spring must be replaced again;</p><p>(3) Check the inner wall of the sealing body and the inner surface of the sealing end cap for damage, and repair if any problems are found.</p><p>(3) Installation of mechanical seal</p><p>Mechanical seal installation sequence and precautions are as follows:</p><p><br></p><p>1. After the relative position of the rotor and the pump body is fixed, determine the installation position of the mechanical seal. According to the installation size of the <a href="https://www.lepuseal.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">seal</a> and the position of the static ring in the gland, measure the positioning size of the seal on the shaft or shaft **;</p><p>2. Install the machine to seal the moving ring. After the moving ring is installed, it must be able to move flexibly on the shaft;</p><p>3. Assemble the assembled static and moving ring parts;</p><p>4.
