Thermal conductivity (fixing firmness)</p><p>A fuser film sleeve with poor thermal conductivity will not only cause the toner to not be firmly fixed on the media, but also turn the partially softened toner onto the fuser film sleeve or the lower roller, and even agglomerate to damage the heating components.</p><p><br></p><p>2. Isolation performance</p><p>A fuser film sleeve with good isolation will transfer the toner to the printing medium without distortion, and no toner remains on the fuser film sleeve, keeping the fuser film sleeve working well for a long time without ghosting.</p><p>The isolation performance is greatly related to the coating material used on the fuser film sleeve and the production process.</p><p><br></p><p>3. Stiffness (flexibility)</p><p>A good fuser film sleeve should have proper stiffness. Generally speaking, the stiffness of the fuser film sleeve used on a high-speed machine is higher than that of a fuser film sleeve on a low-speed machine. A fuser film sleeve with insufficient stiffness is likely to make a "crack" noise when the fuser film sleeve rotates on the machine. The fuser film sleeve with good stiffness makes a very small "rustle" sound. A fuser film sleeve with too low stiffness is prone to wrinkles during use, and unevenness occurs when printing black images. However, the stiffness of the fuser film sleeve is too high, which may cause difficulty in heat conduction and decrease the fixing firmness.</p><p><br></p><p>4. Tear resistance</p><p>Tear resistance is another important mechanical performance index of the fuser film sleeve. A fuser film sleeve with insufficient tear resistance is prone to tearing when the machine is not working properly, such as paper jams or foreign objects entering the fixing assembly.</p><p><br></p><p>5. Appearance</p><p>The apparent performance plays a very important role in the use of the fuser film sleeve. Common apparent defects include:</p><p>(1) Severe thickness unevenness. If it is uneven thickness along the circumferential direction, it will cause the too thick area to be weakly fixed, and the too thin area will be easily damaged; if it is along the generatrix direction, it will cause The fuser film sleeve moves to the thick side of the film body, causing damage to the fuser film sleeve;</p><p>(2) The smoothness of the surface coating is not enough. If there are a lot of orange peel lines, the adhesion between the fuser film sleeve and the lower roller is not good, which will cause the fixation firmness to decrease, and the printing quality of fine graphics and text will decrease.</p><p>(3) Apparent adhesion particles, pits, pinholes, missing coatings, severe creases, this kind of defects are slightly larger in size, so in the corresponding position of the printed product, it will cause transfer failure or defects of weak fixing.</p><p><br></p>
