The diameter of the catheter is generally 0.5 mm to several millimeters, and the allowable diameter deviation is generally less than 5%.</p><p>However, ordinary plastic pipe production equipment is used to produce plastic pipes, and the diameter deviation of the products is as high as 20% to 30%, which cannot meet the production requirements of precision medical catheters.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Precision medical catheter production process</p><p>The tube part of the precision medical catheter is produced by extrusion molding, and the accessories are mainly produced by injection molding.</p><p><br></p><p>The production process of the pipe part is as follows: According to the geometry and material of the conduit, set reasonable process parameters, including raw material formula, raw material drying conditions, extrusion temperature, screw speed, cooling medium temperature and flow rate, etc.</p><p><br></p><p>The multi-layer pipe wall material is produced by a one-time co-extrusion or two-time co-extrusion composite process. The post-treatment of the pipe depends on the requirements of the produced pipe. For pipes such as central venous catheters, it is also necessary to co-extrude marking lines on the catheter or spray scales on the surface of the catheter.</p><p><br></p>
