The micro coaxial cable has a multi-layer structure, the central conductor is wrapped with an insulating layer, the outer conductor, the outer copper foil and the outer jacket are called ultra-fine coaxial cables. The outer conductor of the coaxial cable acts as an electromagnetic shield, and the electrical signal transmitted through the central conductor is not easily affected by external electromagnetic waves (electromagnetic noise).

Micro coaxial cable size:

The size of the center conductor used in the coaxial line adopts the American Wire Gauge (AWG) standard. The larger the AWG number, the smaller the size of the center conductor. Generally speaking, a coaxial wire with an outer diameter (O.D.) of 1 mm or less is called a "fine coaxial" wire. Micro coaxial cables are widely used for signal transmission between internal module boards of personal computers, tablet computers, smart phones and other devices, as well as signal transmission between precision instruments such as medical, industrial, automotive, and aviation.

Micro coaxial cable connector:

The micro coaxial cable connector is used to connect the signals between the module boards using the micro coaxial cable. In order to carry out proper signal transmission, the center conductor of the transmission signal needs to be connected to the signal circuit on the PCB through the terminal of the connector. The outer conductor of the cable needs to be electrically connected to the PCB board through the metal part of the connector-the housing. The electrical connection between the outer conductor and the PCB board through the connector shell is called "grounding".
